Yamamura Kokusai students receive talk on Ainu Culture
The Ainu culture of Japan is long and rich. The people from Hokkaido also occupied much of the main island as can be seen in many place names. They were forcibly subdued during the Edo period and severely persecuted. Nowadays, their culture is celebrated.
In 2021, Yamamura Kokusai students explore the culture as part of their preparation for the school trip to North Eastern Japan and Hokkaido.
