The Light Music Club participated in a mini live concert and PA training session hosted by Saitama Heisei High School!
On March 31, 2025 by SasakiOn Tuesday, March 25th, the captain and 21 other members of the light music club participated in a “mini live concert and PA training session” organized by the Saitama Heisei High School Light Music Club.
In recent years, there have been fewer schools in the fiercely competitive western district that are willing to host joint live concerts (similar to practice matches for sports clubs) and qualifying venues for tournaments. We heard about the dramatic decline in the number of members at Heisei High School, the closest school to our school and a long-time ally of our light music club, and decided to participate in this project with the hope that we could be of some help.
Saitama Heisei High School is the first school from Saitama to win a national championship, and they often hold large live concerts called the “Traditional Heisei Live,” in which high schools from other prefectures also participate. If it becomes difficult to organize, our school’s members will have to travel far to participate in the qualifying tournaments, which is very inconvenient. Although our school has fewer students, there are still 24 first and second year students enrolled, so even if we don’t go as far as to hold a joint event, it would be great if we could help out in some way to keep the traditional live performance going.
If we had as many members as our school’s light music club, we could hold a joint live performance or function as a venue for the tournament preliminaries, but this is not possible due to the facility’s limitations.
The students from our school who participated listened to the instructions of the Heisei High School light music club members as they set up the venue, and could not hide their surprise at how difficult it was. It seems that this experience strengthened the “feeling of gratitude” that is preached in the club’s rules, and made them realize that “it is not just the players who are the main characters, but that a live performance can only be held if there are people involved in the management.” We also hope that by spending a day with members of other schools’ light music clubs who do not usually have contact with each other, the bond between the two schools will deepen and exchanges and mutual activities will become more active.
In addition, we have uploaded a digest version of this event in a video on our official Instagram, so please take a look.

The Light Music Club will continue to aim to win top prizes in various competitions, and will continue to practice hard every day in preparation for performances at various domestic and international events, joint live shows, and other events, in the pursuit of music that everyone can enjoy listening to.
