Yamamura Kokusai Wind Ensemble are National Champions

Yamamura Kokusai Wind Ensemble won the All Japan National Brass band and Wind Ensemble Contest to become the new champions.
This amazing feat was accomplished after year on year struggle and improvement. A great precedent of politeness, humbleness, desire to improve and unflagging perseverance in the seniors has laid years of foundation to make Yamamura Kokusai Ensemble the greatest in the nation.
High schools across Japan were free to choose any style of music. Yamamura Kokusai choose the rather unique Good Morning New York, a jazz classic, and developed a performance, both musically and visually entertaining.
Commenting on their achievements, the conductor reflected that now as reigning champions, they must work all the harder to prove themselves next year.
